[DawnMunro, 04/08/2009] Lorna and John are welcoming hosts and can be very proud of their hotel. Our en-suite double bedroom was absolutely spotless and well designed with beautiful soft furnishings. We also had a lovely family room, spotless too and spacious.
Breakfast is perfectly cooked to order each day with excellent choices available.
We enjoyed meeting other guests in the lounge bar, bar is well stocked and prices are very reasonable.
[samantha06, 04/08/2009] Despite arriving late, John and Lorna were very warm and humble as well as sympathetic to our long journey. The room was very clean and of a very high standard and i would suggest it to my friend. The breakfasts were very nice and there was a wide variety to choose from. It is in a prime location - in the middle of the Pleasure Beach and The Tower - which was very appealing and was only a 2 minute walk from the beach. All staff were nice and friendly.
[emmahicki, 27/07/2009] Rang a few days before our stay to book the room, I asked about check in but wasn't told I had to be booked in by a certain time. Turned up to the hotel at 530 to check in only to be told there was an issue with our card and because we hadn't checked in before they assumed we were none showers, so had given our room away! They informed us they had tried to call us at 430 but as they only asked for my home number and we live over 2 hours away from Blackpool, we were already on our way, I ask myself why they didn't ask for a mobile number.
When we first entered the hotel to "book in" the woman

[spanky, 21/07/2009] The Waterford is just perfection, stayed at several four star guest houses in my time and The Waterford outshines them all.
[Kronkypooo, 12/07/2009] We went there last year the staff was fantastic, friendly, warm and welcoming. The hotel was in the middle of a Re-vamp when we stayed there an we couldn't open the windows in our room so we went down to the reception to explain an with no hesitation they moved us straight away an got my husband a fan then they took out cases to the other room. The food was excellent every morning an night and even the little 1 ate everything. The stay was fantastic we enjoyed it that much that we have booked again this year for an even longer stay, and I also liked the fact that on a night time the doors are

[godsgift1976, 12/07/2009] Booked last year for a week with me and my wife and our neice. It needs a lick of paint but the rooms were tidy clean, the service was excellent the staff would do anything you asked and the breakfast and evening meals were spot on. It had a B&B feel to it rather then a big hotel you were made very welcome and felt safe enough to let my neice play there as the door gets locked and you have to be buzzed in. We have booked this year and are looking forward to it, you are right in the middle of the golden mile within walking distance of everything and for the price its a bargin. Just remember its

[allfreyfox, 08/07/2009] The owners where extremely welcoming and very helpful. Rooms were of a good standard, clean and well equipped. Food was delicious and plentiful. Would definitely stay again when next in Blackpool.
[mitch58, 07/07/2009] Spotlessly clean throughout. Excellent, freshly cooked breakfast with wide variety of food. Good service with nothing too much trouble. Good location, half way between pleasure beach and Blackpool Tower. Set back one street from promenade so easy access but not too much noise at night. Excellent value for money.
[diana457, 02/07/2009] the dj was a radio 1 dj, he is great, food superb, breakfast was huge, drinks cool, bar open 2-3am, party atmosphere for families and all packed in evenings
I will visit again for sure its a clean place as well as everything else
[trevie68, 29/06/2009] Stayed here on many occasions over the years, and you would be hard pressed to find nicer and friendly people.
[clivejane, 09/06/2009] stayed there on our wedding night, we were very well looked after so stayed another night, loved the attitude of the staff, hotel was quiet but they put the karaoke on just for us
[wayne1968, 03/06/2009] A great hotel to crash in after a night out. has all you need for a weekend of partying, including a late bar and great bar staff who r up for a laugh

[DaveD, 25/05/2009] The Lantern was the best Hotel we have stayed at in 10 years of visiting Blackpool. No added extras. Free towels, bottled water, snacks in rooms and freeveiw tv. The bar has good prices and the hosts are very friendy. The breakfast is really big, with cereal, juice, tea / coffee, then full english, followed by cakes, fruit and yoghurt.
Booked for next visit. Cheers and thanks for a great weekend. The hotel seems to provide for all your needs although we forgot to order bright sunshine. No stags and hens so we had a good nights sleep.

[SarahMyerscough, 19/05/2009] I work as an artist for Blackpool Illuminations and still visit them every year! If you have young children, you can't beat them. They're unique and a British institution. Six miles of illuminated features (including Dr Who and designs by Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen) for free! There's not many things you can say that about these days.
The best way to see them is to get out of your car and take a walk (or maybe one of the illuminated trams). Given the traffic (particularly at weekends or just after switch on), this is often quicker anyway and you can stop for some Blackpool Rock or fish and chi

[JGreen, 04/05/2009] When we arrived at the hotel we were a bit early but that was not a problem. We were shown to are rooms witch are a lot larger than most b&bs rooms in Blackpool, they was 4 of us in the group and 2 are over 6ft 4in tall so having a large room made a lot of difference to us. The beds were fantastic very comfortable. the breakfast is cooked to order so it was always fresh and a very good choice as well. The bar is just right size to start the night off as well as having a pool table for only 50p a game there is a classic video game as well for 20p. If the weather had of been bad we would of been

[waller93, 02/04/2009] We had a two day break in Blackpool which was made excellent by Jean & Chris the owners. Jeans cooking is spot on and must be the best for value in the local area. Only matched Her good humour behind the bar and the reasonable prices. The hotelis under refurbishment but the major work is now over and it is a credit to them that the hotel rooms are in an excellent state. We will be returning next year.
