Blackpool is one of the most visited seaside resorts in the UK; so finding accommodation to suit your needs can be difficult. Rest assured we provide our guests with quality clean and comfortable accommodation at budget prices. We aim to provide you with the perfect base for you to explore the resort and surrounding areas. Centrally located in Blackpool we are near to all of the main attractions, Winter Gardens, town centre and promenade. We have a 4 star Backpackers rating with Visit Britain. Many guests can get deterred by the word hostel, please don't! We aim to provide an informal environment catering for couples, families, walkers and cyclists, school groups, international backpackers, business travellers, specialist groups. We do cater for groups; unfortunately we do not offer accommodation for Stag or Hen groups or large single sex parties. We are family run and offer a high standard of accommodation, spacious sun lounge and Basement Games Room and Dining Room. We aim to provide a homely environment to our guests offering free internet and WIFI. Our laid back environment allows you to make the most of the facilities such as a self catering area with Microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge in the Dining Room, free tea and coffee throughout the day, and the freedom to bring in your own food and drink. Even though we are licensed we encourage our guests to bring their own drinks with them so you can enjoy a drink in comfortable surroundings. We provide a full hearty breakfast to get you started throughout the day. We aim to offer an ideal base for our guests to meet new people and relax after a day or night exploring Blackpool and its surrounding area. We no longer offer a Bar Service as Blackpool has so much to offer in Licensed Entertainment. The Basement area now offers a large games room with full sized pool table, quiz machines, table top games, freeview TV, music station and DVD player so you can really feel at home. You are more than welcome to bring in your own drinks and takeaways and relax with family and friends. The Sun Lounge offers a comfortable environment to relax and watch the world go by! We also have a wide selection of reading books and local information guides, up to date magazines, internet station, Skype facilities, Freeview TV, DVD player and music station. We cater for walkers and cyclists at the Fylde. We can offer a secure lockable indoor store for bicycles, walking boots and outdoor clothing. We have an area to dry outdoor clothing and facilities for service washes. Early breakfast and Packed Breakfast can be arranged. We also offer a Packed lunch facility at an additional charge. Local information, walking guides of the area, weather updates and local transport information are available for your use. WIFI is available free of charge to guests, please ask for the code on arrival. Dining Our tariffs include a full cooked breakfast. Breakfast is served between 09.00am and 10.00am. We offer a choice of a full cooked breakfast or a light bite breakfast of scrambled eggs, poached eggs on toast, cereal or poridge. All breakfasts are served with unlimited tea, filter coffee, orange juice and toast. We can provide a Business breakfast at 08.00am if you require an early start. Evening Meal is available daily between 17.30pm - 19.00pm. We do not offer a Half Board tarrif as this sometimes restricts you when visiting shows and attractions. Let us know in the morning if you would like to dine with us and then choose from our menu of great home cooked food. Car Parking We do have car parking space and we can provide parking for 6 for cars. This works on a first come first serve basis so is not guaranteed and can not be reserved. Cars are parked at the guests discretion and as the space is limited, guests may have to move their cars each morning to prevent people getting blocked in due to the shape of the car park. Should you want the freedom to use your car as and when you please the nearest car park (Palatine Road Car Park) is located at the bottom of the street. The hotel car parking is an added service and free of charge throughout your stay. Checking In and Out We aim to have your room ready for your arrival. Check in time is after 14.00pm as we need time to clean the rooms from previous guests. If for any reason your rooms are not ready then you are welcome to use the hotel facilities and leave your luggage with us. Checking out is slightly different! We ask you to vacate your rooms at 11.00am, and once again you are free to use all the hotel facilities until you depart. We can provide you with courtesy facilities should you have a late train, coach or flight. Please ask us if you require a late check out room. Smoking Our hotel is NON SMOKING. If you do smoke there is comfortable seating outside to the front of the hotel. We do not tolerate smoking in bedrooms or in any of the public areas, we do have a NO SMOKING policy in place. If smoking has occurred in bedrooms then a £60 per person cleaning charge will be added to your final bill. We thank you for respecting our policies and making it a smoke free environment for all of our guests. Late Keys All rooms are issued with a late key on arrival. The late key will give you flexibility to come and go as you please. How to find us By car ...... Traveling on the M55 turn off at junction 4 which is signposted A583 Blackpool North shore, turn right at the roundabout keep straight on for about 3 miles, you will pass the white windmill and McDonalds. After the fourth set of traffic lights you will see CSL furniture store on your left side; go straight on along Park Road. After approximately half a mile you will start to see small bed and breakfasts on your left. Continue until you reach the traffic lights on Park Road and Palatine Road. You will see a building in front of you called Kingsley Court. Turn left at the lights and we are the second hotel on the left hand side. By train........ Blackpool North Train station is the busiest station. It is located about 1 mile from the Fylde Hotel. This will cost approximately £4.00 in a taxi. By coach............ There are several coach stations in Blackpool, the main one serviced by National Express or Stagecoach is Talbot Road. Again this is located approximately 1 mile away and will cost around £4.00 in a taxi. By Air ............... Blackpool International Airport is located in Blackpool itself. It is approximately 3 miles from the hotel so take a taxi which will cost between £7.00 - £10.00. [less]
