Ah the Pleasure Beach!!! This is one of favourite places to go in the UK not just for it's rides but just because this was the first theme park I ever visited when I was younger and so therefore it will always be a classic funfair and fun day out!
Back years ago as some of you may remember, the Pleasure beach operarted it's rides on ticket systems with each ride costing a certain 'number' of tickets. So for example the Big Dipper would have been three tickets as back then this was one of the bigger rides. Smaller rides would cost just one ticket and you could buy as many as you wanted from the ticket booths. Nowadays they have moved into having wristbands for guest - it does make things a lot easier and also a lot easier on the pocket for those who want to make a whole day of being in the park. Wristbands range in price anywhere from £10 up to £29 and the best way to get the cheaper end is to look for dates when they have the offers on which are normally available on the website - another way of getting wristbands is to use Tesco clubcard vouchers as you can also swap these for wristbands therefore getting them completly free!
The pleasure beach is home to the UK'S most famous ride the Pepsi Max Big One! A thrill ride that climbs over 200 feet up with amazing views of the coastline at the top! Not to be missed. Another new addition to the park is the Infusion - the first ride that the Pleasure has had that is a suspended looping coaster so your feet dangle as you whoosh around the track - a brillaint addition to the park.
The park still retains some of it's classic rides such as the Big Dipper and the Noaks Ark childrens ride along with some that have been built over the years that have proved to have been really populra such as the Iron Bru Revolution and probably one of the most unique water rides in the country - Valhalla!
The pleasure beach has lots of places to eat along with great arcads and games. Plus there is lots of attraction right on the doorstep of it that you can pay extra for such as 'The Passage Del Terror' - a sure must if you like your horror and taken from an original version that was in Florida.
There is a car park available on site at the Pleasure Beach which is at a charge but the cost for the entire day is not much and you can even leave your car there whilst you go down the other end of the promenade if you wanted to.
Overall this is a great day out and a must visit, especially if you've never been before - cheesy but brilliant!! Don't forget to get your sugar dummies and doughnuts!!
