[more]This Grade II listed water mill, which dates from 1540 although the current building was erected in 1765, inspired one of the locations in Lord of the Rings and the annual Tolkien Weekend is held nearby. It is one of only two remaining watermills in Birmingham and offers various activities and temporary exhibitions. Entry is free and opening hours for the public are Tuesday to Sunday 11.30am - 4pm during April to October, whilst school groups are allowed all year.
