One of the best seasonal events in Birmingham

, 07/08/2007] I visit the Frankfurt Christmas Market every year in Birmingham because it is so festive and the food is absoloutely amazing. It is located conveniently right by the train station and in the pedestrian zone of Birmingham off the main shopping street and is open day and night. It brightens up Birmingham with the German style stalls selling everything from clothing to crafts to delicious German food. It is always lit up at night and the carousel and characters walking around make it delightful for children. The downside is that it is very expenisve for the food and with the wonderful smells comi

The annual German Christmas market in Birmingham is a "vast" event. and part of the "startling" recent fashion for such markets in city centres. The "jolly chaps in lederhosen" and "lasses with cleavages like the Grand Canyon" handing out "sausages the size of Rhine pleasure steamers" have touched an "unexpected yearning".
