Bilbao's "most stylish hotel" is located a "short walk" from the heart of the city, right opposite the Guggenheim Museum. Some of the art seems to have moved into the hotel, where the reception is "dominated" by a column of "large pebbles enclosed in netting". The glass lifts disappear behind a "terraced water feature" of striking black surfaces. She was able, however, to note that the staff were "smart in both senses".

The rooms are "well-thought-out", with a useful counter-table, "comfortable" armchair and, of course, art works by the hotel's designer. The contents of the minibar are reasonably priced and the "copious" breakfast buffet is a "great way to start the day". There is a "small" gym where you can exercise while looking at a view of the Guggenheim and the river.

The only downside was the cost and complexity of using the wi-fi system. The reviewer felt it "lets itself down badly".
