Set into a steep hillside, Clovelly is one of the most famous villages in the world. The single cobbled high street winds its way down the hillside through traditional whitewashed cottages festooned with fuchsias and geraniums. The exceptionally comfortable bedrooms, with stunning views, are furnished in seafaring style. Lying in bed you will hear the cries of wheeling seagulls and the sound of the sea playing in and out of the stony beach below your room. Much is said these days about the impact of food miles, but at the Red Lion Harbour Restaurant, we can proudly talk about food feet. Fresh fish is landed daily outside our door.
