The Cliveden is described by Fodors as "one of Britain's grandest hotels" where guests can experience what its like "to be an Edwardian grandee". The interior is described as "opulent" and there are "suits of armor, and a richly paneled staircase" as well as "portraits such as Sargent's portrait of Nancy Astor". The bedrooms here are described as "traditional" and "plush" with each one bearing "the name of someone famous who has stayed here". The author notes that "you may feel you're in a home rather than a hotel" because "people lease many of the rooms". There are three different restaurants. One of these is called Waldo's which "serves excellent contemporary British and French cuisine".
