Though the leaflet for this hotel claims that English is spoken in it, it's not so. The owner, Mr Deml, does, but he is never there, and his mostly-available Romanian housekeeper doesn't know any English. We lived there for one week; one day we tried to ask this housekeeper when our hotel towels are going to be changed, which is a rather natural question to ask in such a period of time. We could not understand each other, so went downstairs to ask the only English-speaking person in the place - Mr Deml - about it. He was in his bar - not really busy. Though we apologized for asking and "disturbing" him, he was startlingly rude, exclaiming: "What now?!", then just flatly said "No!" to the "towel question". That wasn't exactly nice... We certainly WILL NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! Not to mention the broken sliding doors in the wardrobe in our room and the fact that the room wasn't really "cleaned daily", as their leaflet claims.
Also, the breakfast menu was rather limited - where are all those famous German breads, just to say one thing? Maybe all this is unimportant, but maybe not - to us, the holiday is precious.
In conclusion, we DID have a great holiday - shame (a bit) about the hotel. On the plus side the hotel's in nice location.
