Owned by the Serendib Leisure Group, this hotel was refurbished in 2003 and all facilities are modern. The property was designed by Geoffrey Bawa and the theme was of an 18th Century Dutch village. Nearby a visit to the historic town of Kandy or Newara Elyia is a nice day trip. A trip to the UNESCO listed town of Galle is a must, as is a trip to Lunuganga. The restaurant serves a variety of local and international dishes. The beach is only a few yards outside the doors of the hotel and it has beautiful sands with waves rolling in from the Indian Ocean.
