The Camera Guest House in Belfast is situated in the south of the city and takes its unusual name from the many press photographers who used it as a safe haven and base when covering 'the troubles' in the city. The guest house is family run and occupies a Victorian double-fronted house. The guest house is within walking distance of the city centre and is well served with public transport and has many eating, drinking and shopping places as well as being close to the Botanic Gardens and Queen's University. The Camera Guest House has ten individually designed rooms. There are 3 double rooms, 3 singles, two twins, a triple and one family room. Facilities include free wireless internet access, hospitality trays, and television. If required, hair dryers, irons and boards can be supplied on request. Some rooms are en suite whilst others have shared toilet or shared bathroom. Breakfast is served each morning from 7.30 to 9.00 during the week and half an hour later at weekends. A residents lounge is available for guest use and all rooms are non-smoking. Cots and high-chairs are available and the hotel is laid out over 3 floors – guests would mobility issues should confirm suitability.
