The Voile d´Or is ranked by the Tatler Magazine among the best "Future hotels" of the world, where the owner and his "sheer energy" opened a "circus of a resort". Best for Families: Voile d Or Resort and Spa
The author visited the hotel just before its official opening in December 2004. The architecture follows the "Dutch and Portuguese" colonial style combined with modern design "that Posh and Becks would appreciate".
