Built in 2007, it is located in the Chaoyang business district near the silk market, and was part of the extensive redevelopment prior to the 2008 Olympic Games. Extension of the city’s underground system at the same time means the shopping centre is easily reached on public transport.
As well as outlets selling international brands, the mall also has a range of eating places and a children’s play centre. But the most striking feature of the development is the huge LED screen, 200 metres long and 30 metres wide. It is best seen in the evening against a dark sky, when a 15 minute show is run every hour.
The mall is open daily from 10am to 10pm.
