[more]The church of Saint-Alexandre at Bédarieux was first built around the 12th century, although it was since destroyed, and rebuilt around the 17th century. Fragments of the walls have also been dated from the 15th century. There is, in the church, a Puget organ, which dates from the end of the 19th century.
This church is where most of Bédarieux masses take place, as well as funerals and marriages. The outer doors are open all year, however, other than during ceremonies, there are inner metal gates, which are locked.
