[more]GeneralA very nice hotel in a charming village location with great character. Highly recommended (PH0805)SurroundingAreaBased right in the heart of Beaulieu literally minutes from the National Motor Museum. From London: Follow the M3, bypassing Winchester and join the M27 westbound, following signs to Bournemouth. Leave the M27 at Junction 2, and turn left at the roundabout, following brown Tourist Board signs for the National Motor Museum and Beaulieu (A326). Continue along the A326 until Dibden Purlieu, and turn right at the roundabout onto the B3054 signposted to Beaulieu. As you enter Beaulieu village, The Montagu Arms Hotel is on your left. By train: The closest train station is Brockhurst and is 6 miles away. By air:The closest airports are Southampton (only 18 miles away) and Bournemouth (approx 20 miles away).RoomTypesThe rooms are medium sized and of a very good standard they are decorated in a traditional manner. All rooms are decorated individually but all in keeping with the period charm of the building. All of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities, colour television, hair dryer, trouser press, writing desk and complimentary morning tea and coffee. Great thought and attention has been given to decorating the rooms to the highest standard of comfort and luxury.PropertyInformationThis a traditional coaching in which has expanded bit by bit over the years. It is in a fantastic position and is ideally located for exploring the New Forest.DiningFacilitiesChildre n under the age of eight years old are not permitted to take dinner in the Terrace Restaurant. Children are welcome in Monty's bar and Brasserie. May 2005 the Hotel appointed the award winning chef and food writer Shaun Hill as its new Director of Cooking. The Terrace, an oak panelled dining room overlooking the English garden, provides a unique and elegant setting in which to enjoy the sublime and innovative flavours of a chef who has collected Michelin stars at his previous two establishments, and is widely considered one of the very top cooks in Britain. Local meats, game and seafood feature on our menu throughout the year, according to seasonal availability. The Conservatory, light and airy, is the ideal location for a drinks reception or refreshment break. It provides direct access to the picturesque terraced gardens, where croquet is available.Copyright(c) Donvand Limited 2009AreaDetailsCentral 7 kms to the nearest airport (eastleigh)RoomInformation23 Single rooms Double rooms Twin rooms Quad rooms
