[more]Located halfway between Munich and Prague and a 5 minute walk from the centre of the village of Bayerisch Eisenstein, Gästehaus am Berg offers simple but comfortable rooms with views of the Bohemian & Bavarian Forests, free Wi-Fi, a library / guestlounge with open fireplace and a children’s playground.
All rooms have en-suite shower rooms, TV and DVD players, radio alarm clocks, complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities, cosmetic mirrors and hairdryers. Toiletries are provided in the shower-rooms. Most rooms feature a balcony.
Guests are welcome to relax in the lounge with open fireplace or in the garden. The library has English and German books. A variety of games, DVDs, travel guides and maps are also provided.
Included in the room price, all guests receive a Nationalpark card for free local public transport (on the German side of the border) and free or reduced entrance to various local attractions plus a free hiking or ski trail map.
An extensive buffet breakfast is served each morning in the breakfast room. breakfast includes, wherever possible, organic, home-made and local ingredients.
Cycling, hiking and cross-country ski trails start close to the guesthouse. There is a ski lift only 400m from the house. The nearest bus stop is 200m and the nearest train station 1 km away. The Czech border is an 8-minute walk away.
