[19.12.2007] The Christmas market in Nuremberg is not only one of the oldest and most traditional markets of this kind in Germany but also probably the most famous. It was mentioned first in 1628 and has been held ever since annually on the Market Place (Hauptmarkt) in front of the City Hall. When I lived in Germany I never failed to visit the market in Stuttgart and, after moving to Nuremberg, was keen on seeing this one too.
