The renovation project of the aged structure was successfully approved and awarded financial sponsorship from a leading government investment program.
Krinos Suites Hotel is a charming complex of nine autonomous suites, located in the picturesque coastal village of Batsi, the heart of the Cycladic island of Andros. The recently renovated and carefully restored main building boasts unique architectural elements of the 19th century, when it used to function as a sericulture workshop. During the 20th century it was transformed into a hotel under the name "Krinos" meaning "lilly of the sea". Completing the picture, in perfect architectural harmony, are two contemporary structures blending well with the nearby surroundings.
With strong personal character, the spacious and well-equipped suites of the hotel are ideal for visitors looking for warm hospitality combined with discreet luxury. The courtyard of the hotel surrounded by trees and fragrant flowers, and the breathtaking view over the Aegean complement the aesthetics of the unit.
On the ground floor of the main building one can find the Krinos Art Café, which hosts various social events and exhibitions. It is a place of cordial reception and rest, where one can energise himself with fresh juices, high quality coffee, healthy beverages, homemade liqueurs and sweets, as well as mouth-watering organic treats, surrounded by selected atmospheric musical sounds.
The nearby wind-shielded beach, apart from the seductive view it offers to our garden and verandas, is remarkably easy to access, since it lies just twenty meters from the hotel. For several consecutive years the beach in Batsi has been awarded the internationally acclaimed "Blue Flag", meeting strict criteria for water quality, environmental management and safety. Batsi beach is an organized beach managed by the municipality of Ydroussa, with shallow and safe waters, ideal for families with children.
