Description: Set in a Georgian town house, the Jane Austen Centre recalls the authors life in the town of Bath between 1801 and 1806. Two of her books were inspired by the town and written here, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion. The Jane Austen Centre is a permanant exhibition, which was enhanced in 2007 with the Costumes from ITV's Persuasion, designed by BAFTA. Within the museum there are contemporary prints of the city, period costumes, a gift shop, and the Regency Tea Rooms.

It is open all year from 9.45am to 5.30pm in the summer, and from 11am to 4.30pm in the winter.

Admission fee is of £6.50 for adults, £4.95 for students, 6 - 15 years of age pay £3.50, and free for the under 6. There are also family rate of £18, for 2 adults and up to 4 children.

There is wheelchair access on the ground floor only.
