Description
This site, devoted to sacred sites of the world, describes the worship of the hot springs in Bath for over 10,000 years. They were sacred to the Celts, Romans and Christians and have been a rich archaeological source of finds from the Roman period in particular. Modern analysis has identified 43 minerals in the water, justification of its veneration as a healing site.
