[more]The Bath Mozartfest is an annually held event which celebrates the music of the Austrian born composer and was founded in 1990. Throughout the festival international stars from the world of classical music perform some of the best known works of the maestro and also introduce the audience to some of his lesser known musical masterpieces.
The festival is held in November and usually also includes several concerts of other well know composer's works, such as Bach, Mendelsohn, Schubert and others. The concerts are held in various venues around Bath, mainly the Assembly Rooms, Guildhall and the Bath Abbey and are closed by a traditional gala dinner in the Guildhall on the last evening of the festival.
