[pierrejacques, 22.02.2008] This "circle of curving, perfectly proportioned Georgian houses" was designed in a "masterful" manner and feature "carved acorns atop the houses" in recognition of the fable that Bath was founded "with the help of an errant pig rooting for acorns". The circle is "interrupted just three times for intersecting streets" and was home to Thomas Gainsborough who "lived at No. 17 from 1760 to 1774".
