[micksheff, 09/09/2007] Tankersley Manor is a place that I have been to a few times over the years and it was also once the location of my work's Christmas Party. I visited here most recently last weekend to attend a wedding.
It is a very well known hotel and restaurant with a good local reputation.
From the outside Tankersley Manor is quite impressive to say the least, standing in its own well maintained gardens and grounds and surrounded by woodland the building itself is a rather imposing stone built building. If you look closely at the outer buildings you can see that they were several smaller stone built

[serendipity, 11/06/2007] The stay was a pleasant one, although due to the time constraints, I was unable to discover the surrounding area.
The hotel is certainly well maintained, internally and externally although some areas are a bit jaded and could benefit from a bit of a make over.
Walking to the conference room took ages, as the hotel has been extended to such an extent that everything is a long way from everything else. What I did find strange is the fact that some of the conference rooms were upstairs, not far from the bedrooms.
