[nam2505, 31/01/2012] I have stayed in the Hotel Arts on two occassions (most recently early 2008) and have to say it is generally very good. The rooms are extremely well equipped and spacious and the hotel public areas are smart and impressive. On both of my previous stays the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is well positioned for exploring Barcelona.
Certainly if you have the money the Hotel Arts is, in my experience, well worth a visit.
[Aldo26, 29/11/2011] Good location, not too far from the city centre but far enough as to have a good night rest. Many restaurants in the area.
Nice rooms, kingsize comfortable beds, new bathroom.
Really near to Clinic Hospital Metro Stop.
[kingfrancesca, 23/11/2011] I took my boyfriend to Barcelona for his 30th Birthday and spent ages choosing hotels. Went with this one, half way between las ramblas and the Nou Camp. Hotel was absolutely brilliant and very accomodating. I had organised beforehand cava and a birthday cake to be delivered to the room for my boyfriend's birthday. And they did and he loved it. They also gave us free access to the spa which we enjoyed after a long day walking around the city. Breakfast was absolutely to die for. Views of Barcelona from the restaurant (top floor) and everything you could want for breakfast on offer! Room

[jipp05, 06/11/2011] Can Paixano or La Xampanyeria (in the local Catalan but La Champagneria in Spanish as it is more commonly known) is one of the best and weirdest bars that I have ever been too. First of all finding the bar was a complete and utter nightmare as it is a little off the beaten path. It is located near the beach on Carrer de la Reina but knowing this information doesn’t make it any easier to find. It is on a side street and a good deal of walking was involved before we stumbled across it. Once you find the actual side street it is on you can’t miss the bar unless it’s closed in which case it just l

[jeffjen, 27/10/2011] The Port Vell area of Barcelona is one that has benefitted greatly from its major upgrade for the 1992 Olympics. Before the Olympics it was a run down harbour with old warehouses and industrial buildings, but was then transformed into an attractive bustling port and entertainment centre which housed the 1992 Olympic Village and also opens the city up to the sea.
Crossing a wooden pedestrian bridge (the Rambla de Mar) which was constructed to join the entertainment complex to the city, is quite a scenic walkway, giving great views out over the port. The bridge is an attractive looking construc

[jeffjen, 21/10/2011] During my trips to Barcelona, I have been very interested in visiting the various works of Antoni Gaudi.
Having visted Parc Guell and The Unfinished Church, we also went to visit La Casa Mila, or 'La Pedrera' as it is more commonly known.
Placed in Paseo de Gracia, work on La Pedrera began in 1905 and finished in 1910, it is the last commissioned work that Gaudi undertook, before concentrating his last years on La Sagrada Familia (the Unfinished Church).
The owner, Pere Mila Camps had purchased the land, and having seen some of Gaudi's other work, he commissioned him to build a large building

[jeffjen, 18/10/2011] No visit to Barcelona is complete without a visit to the fabulous spectacle which is the Magic Fountain.
I had first seen the Magic Fountain on TV back in 1992 when Barcelona hosted the Olympics. It is situated not far from the outdoor Olympic Pool and stadium. I can remember being quite impressed by the fountain and thinking it would be nice to actually visit and watch the show.
Sixteen years on my wish came true, as myself and my partner were on holiday in Spain and having longed to visit Barcelona, we booked a day trip to the city. We liked it so much we returned again this year.

[jeffjen, 17/10/2011] Anyone who visits Barcelona will not fail to notice Tibidabo, and this is due to the imposing church of Sagrat Cor (Sacred Heart) which stands at the top of the mountain, and the impressive statue of Jesus Christ on the highest spire of the church. Tibidabo is the highest peak in Barcelona at over 500m above sea level.
On travelling in and out of Barcelona, seeing this church and statue on top of the mountain is a fantastic sight.
The church is the work of architect Enrique Sagnier, and building commenced in 1902 and took 60 years to build, so it is actually not that old!
The church is unusu

[jeffjen, 14/10/2011] During my recent visit to Barcelona I visited Parc Guell, another place on my 'must visit' list.
We visited Parc Guell as part of a city tour by coach and spent a couple of hours there, walking around in the hot sunshine, although I must point out that in order to see the entire park, I would advise that visitor's spend at least a morning or afternoon there!
I am a fan of Antoni Gaudi's work, and the Catalan Architect designed Parc Guell after being comissioned by Count Eusebi Guell. Guell was an estate agent entrepreneur, and asked Gaudi to design and create a park with luxury houses for Ba

[jeffjen, 06/10/2011] I do like to visit cathedrals and churches and am also a fan of the work of Antoni Gaudi, the Catalan architect who designed La Sagrada Familia and whose work can be seen in many places in Barcelona. In Gaudi's works there are the most diverse construction techniques, and great architectural innovation due to his knowledge of geometry.
Unfortunately, Gaudi was run over by a tram and died in 1926, aged 73 and is buried inside the church. He had spent more than 40 years working on the church, and knew anyway that it would never be completed in his lifetime, but had drawn plans so that the churc

[huesped_Constanza, 19/09/2011] I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Constanza. Like my previous times staying there, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a good way to start the day. The menu offered a variety of choices. I especially enjoyed the coffee and fresh orange juice. Hotel Constanza is located near shopping areas, including Las Ramblas, and restaurants. Also nearby are stops fo the "on-off" tour busses and the famous Gaudi mansions. After a day of sight-seeing, the lobby of the Hotel Constanza is a sanctuary from the hurry and bustle of the day's activitie

[huesped_Gran-Hotel-T, 29/08/2011] i think that it's a very good hotel but a little expensive)
[veny, 25/06/2011] Good location but it was quite bleak and darkly decorated. The room was clean the staff was also ok.
[Aminis, 07/06/2011] Although a 3 hotel. We were quite comfortable there. We didn't spend much time at the hotel. The breakfast was so-so but the location was great within walking distance to the hot-spots.
[joveneli, 06/06/2011] Hotel Silken Concordia is an ideal hotel for relaxation and sightseeing trips in the city. Located in Barcelona - Spain and has a central location. Well furnished and had all the amenities in the room. The restaurant is cozy and the food is very good. Definitely the hotel bar is good. Staff and service were amazing. The hotel is good communication. For me all in hotel Silken Concordia was more than good. Definitely recommend it.
[jipp05, 29/05/2011] Without doubt my favourite restaurant in all of Barcelona has to be La Fonda. The restaurant is situated off Las Ramblas in the Barrio Gottico area of the city and is a bit of a local legend.
Finding La Fonda shouldn't be difficult as it is literally a 2 minute walk through one of the alleyways off Las Ramblas and if you need help just ask as it is pretty famous and popular.
La Fonda is so popular that it doesn't take reservations and instead you just show up and hope to get a table. No matter what night you arrive if you aren't there at a time when dinner shouldn't really be eaten in Spain

It is located in the tourist hotspot of Villa Olympica in Barcelona directly next to the beach and other popular night spots such as Shoko and Catwalk.
There are now a few of these uber trendy clubs and bars along this strip that mainly cater to the tourists and the rich and hip of Barcelona such as the footballers of F.C Barcelona who are known to hang out here.
The nearest metro station is Ciutadella Villa Olympica and Carpe Diem is o
