Not only the "largest" but also the "greenest" park in Barcelona, it was "the setting" for the Universal Exhibition of 1888 from which an Arc de Triomf was build at one end of the park. This park is very "enticing" thanks to its "formal, leafy avenues", its "boating lake" and a number of "hidden corners". It is also home to some sculptures, including the 'Lady with the Parasol', nicknamed 'Pepita' which is now a "well-recognised image".
