This hotel was a real find! We booked the hotel just having read some info on a website and saw a few pictures however when we turned up, we were very pleasantly surprised at what a great deal wed found in a very funky hotel!
Youd be forgiven for thinking that youd stepped into an exclusive club rather than a hotel reception, with highly polished, brass covered curved walls, trendy oversized white furniture and swizely chairs and huge metallic disk covered ceilings.
So after checking in we made our way up to our room which led us through dimly lit corridors with blue neon signage, sounds odd but was pretty cool, and then to the room. The room itself was fairly standard in size and immaculate as youd excpect and was elegantly furnished in dark wood. An interesting feature was a screen that could be slid to reveal the glass wall of the bathroom meaning that if you so fancied, you could watch you other half in the shower...
The facilities in the room were good and included hair dryer, trendy, nice smelling toiletries, mini bar and air conditioning.
The hotel does have a small roof top pool which would have amazing views in the summer but as i visited in spring, it was sadly shut.
Although we didnt use it, there was a cafe for breakfast and the very smart Piano bar for a cocktail or two...
I hadnt previously heard of the Silken chain but having visited here, I would certainly look to stay again especially as we were lucky to find a great deal and would have expected to hae to pay a bit more for somewhere as flash as this.
This hotel is on the Avienida Diagonal which is well located for both business and personal users as its only a 200m walk away from the nearest tram and metro stop and is well served by bus
