[squidge, 20.09.2007] The Neri Hotel occupies "a beautiful, centuries-old building", just a fifteen minute walk from the station, and just by the famous "Plaça del Pi", where it is said that the Virgin Mary appeared to a fisherman.

This "stunningly renovated medieval mansion" has an "overall effect" of "state of the art and rustic". At the back of the hotel, a "quiet Plaça de Sant Felip Neri" to relax in.

The guide describes the "historic public areas" and "cutting-edge rooms of stone and timber". Guestrooms are "large, with plasma screen TVs" with "soft-tone furnishings". Each rooms' "artwork" is unique.

The hotel has a "comfy library", where you can read the "day's newspapers", furnished with "designer coffee table tomes" and equipped with a computer. "The leafy roof deck is charming" also.

The Lonely Planet Guide point out that the hotel has its own "highly regarded gourmet restaurant out the back", and that its the "typical" kind of place "where attention to detail is as high as you'll find in Barcelona".
