"It's hard to imagine a better location for a hotel" we are told by Anthony Ham, in his review for the Lonely Planet Guide. Just by "Gaudí at Casa Batllo, La Pedrera and La Sagrada Familia", and a two minute walk from the station. "It's a touch of class without the price that usually accompanies such luxury".
We are told that you won't find "better upper mid-range rooms in Barcelona" decor of "designer flourishes" with "soothing tones". "Everything about this place exudes harmony", and "staff are friendly and keen" to look after you.
Guestrooms here are "spacious and loaded with the latest technology", such as "high-tech TVs", they are "soundproof", with "designer bathroom fittings" and all have Internet access via wifi. The author claims the the "luxurious rooms make you never want to leave".
The hotel has a "rooftop swimming pool" with "sun lounges", and the terrace is considered to be "one of Barcelona's best", with "terrific views out over the city towards the Mediterranean".
The guide finds it hard to believe that the hotel "only has three stars".
