[14/04/2007] La Florida attracts (and has long attracted) some very famous visitors. Jetsetreport.com includes "Penelope Cruz, Ernest Hemmingway, Antonio Banderas" on the visitors list and describes the hotel as having "Sexy Clientele" as well as a "Top-notch Spa".
The hotel lobby is "modern" and refined with the reception "tucked inside a private room". The spa is "fantastic" and so is the fitness centre which is "packed" with equipment and has a weight room "built by someone who actually works out". There is a "stainless-steel indoor-outdoor pool" from which swimmers can look out over the city. L'Orangerie restaurant has an "outdoor dining room" but the food "isn't as good as the view" and was too "French" for the reviewers liking.

The rooms have "original artwork and sculptures" and the best rooms "face the city" and easily justify the "added expense" by giving "panoramic views". Some even have "lavish-sized terraces and private Jacuzzis". But it doesn't matter how big your room is - they are all "elegantly equipped" and have "spacious marble bathrooms" with "in-floor heating (and) heated towel racks" and king sized beds with "500-thread count" linens and fluffy pillows.
