An amazing spectacle!

, 18/10/2011] No visit to Barcelona is complete without a visit to the fabulous spectacle which is the Magic Fountain. I had first seen the Magic Fountain on TV back in 1992 when Barcelona hosted the Olympics. It is situated not far from the outdoor Olympic Pool and stadium. I can remember being quite impressed by the fountain and thinking it would be nice to actually visit and watch the show. Sixteen years on my wish came true, as myself and my partner were on holiday in Spain and having longed to visit Barcelona, we booked a day trip to the city. , 02/08/2010] the show is really good, near the plaza espanya, at the end of afternoon of saturday, it starts with music, when comes the light and the water is dancing in the rythm of the music, a really good moment to relax after walking so much in Montjuic, you should not miss it if you are in Barcelona

This "enormous illuminated magic fountain" is a very "popular attraction" which "dances" along to a music and light show. The music is "a mixture of pop and opera classics" and 'Barcelona' being "belted out" by Freddy Mercury and Montserrat Caballé almost always features. On "special occasions", "gigantic" firework displays are added to the mix. A number of bus routes as well as a metro station are indicated in the guide.
