[jeffjen, 21/10/2011] During my trips to Barcelona, I have been very interested in visiting the various works of Antoni Gaudi. Having visted Parc Guell and The Unfinished Church, we also went to visit La Casa Mila, or 'La Pedrera' as it is more commonly known. Placed in Paseo de Gracia, work on La Pedrera began in 1905 and finished in 1910, it is the last commissioned work that Gaudi undertook, before concentrating his last years on La Sagrada Familia (the Unfinished Church). [djodjo, 19/04/2011] Also known as Casa Milà, the home of Gaudi. A wonderfull building with the distinctive architecture of Gaudi. Every room recreates the time when Gaudi lived there. Be aware that normally you have to wait a lot to get in.

[jipp05, 17/02/2011] Casa Mila or La Pedrera as it is also known is one of the architect Gaudi's most famous buildings and one of my personal favourite sites in Barcelona. Located on the elegant Passeig De Gracia where you will find botiques from some of the world's biggest designers, La Pedrera was commisioned by the wealthy industrialist Pere Mila in 1905 and completed in 1912. This amazing apartament building was allowed to fade and decay until it was bought by the Caixa Catalunya bank in the 1980's who then set about restoring it to it's former glory.
