The Baryákova Mehanáis is rated as Frommer's exceptional (three of three stars) by Mark Baker (visited in April 2007). Mark notes "what the standard sets" at Baryákova Mehanáis is "the quality of the food". There are a number of specialties such as "grilled over coals "pork leg, "a local delicacy". There is also a "uniquely spiced" local dry sausage offered. It is a styled restaurant, a mehaná, and "an extended-family affair". It is located in town, near the central square in old town, in an old 19th-century house. It is "covered in traditional decorations" including "lovely dark timber beams
