I have been there twice, once in the real winter and second time in May when the snow is still at the high hills of the mountain but you can walk in the city sleeveless.
Piri hotel complex is positioned at 2 km from Bansko and actually it is not so far from the city of the constant cheers and merriness! Actually, if you go by car to the ski resort of Bansko anyway, the location of Piri will not bother you and you would appreciate the quiet place, far from the noisy pubs in the evenings.
I remember my first visit there, in the middle of a severe winter, while you can not even walk outside due to the falling snow and cool wind, and when we entered the apartment, we just had strengths to start the fireplace and fell asleep in the bed with the clothes, boots and even jackets on. We woke up 3 hours later in the position we laid down, the fireplace was almost done but in the apartment it was warm from the central heating. Then we really took a good look at the apartment. It was a spacious place on 2 level with 3-4 stair as a connection between them. You enter a vestibule where you can undress, arrange your luggage, then you go up the 3 stairs and you are in the bedroom, not separated with any wall from the other parts of the apartment, except the bathroom. There are armchairs and sofa, a table. The interior is very pleasant, all from wood and the floor is terracotta with heating below which is very pleasant feeling when you get up in the night to go to the WC. The bathroom is in very good condition, towels are changed daily.
The complex has a very nice yard, in the winter it is all white with snow and the lanterns are lighting the paths as in a winter fairytale. In the spring the gardens are all green, all carefully cut with small bushes and flowers.
Available is a big restaurant that our friends say it is nice and with a good menu, but we preferred to eat at Bansko, conjugating with the crowd. A sweetshop is there at the complex but we couldn’t honor it as we were either starving for meat while leaving for the city of Bansko, or we were coming back from there overfeed. The sweets at the vitrine though looked as a real temptation to me.
