This May I got married and we somehow got a present voucher with a destination to this incredibly unaaceptable hotel in Bansko.
At first we had a great feeling about the weekend we were about to spend, but after the two days even the Black Bush in the lobby bar and the SPA center could not make me think nice things.
All started peacefully and quetly. We found the hotel after half an hour driving around the so-called town. We had a luxirious room, but when we entered in it, we found out that I was destined not to see the sunlight or anything around for the two days we were about to spend there.
This was because the windows were at a height of 1.70 cm and no balcony was present. Well, I thought maybe I won't miss it as we were supposed to ski and have fun. The room was in a bad shape and not supposed to be luxirious. The bathroom had one jacuzzi bath tub and no curtain and no drainage outside. We tried it out in the evening and had the bathroom and half the room flooded. Oh,well....I thought, I am on vacation after all, I will not pay any attention to all this.
The second evening the hotel was almost empty, so there was no buffet. I am not against not having a buffet, but then one very grumpy waiter came and handed us the menu. The menu was okay, but then the food started to come out. The salads were cold, the entrees were also cold, there was no bread available, the desert was not mentioned. Okay, I thought....this is just fine, we did not really paid for all this, I will definitely not make any comments. But then the food was not good,the meat was not cooked well, and when we told this to the waiter, he told us that actually 10 people before us ate it, so there was nothing wrong with it......WELL, this was IT. I could not take it anymore. We filed the complaint after one of the plates we were supposed to eat in was deffinitely not washed.
We decided after all to file a big complaint about everything we did not like and after all got an invitation to go there for Christmas.
And here I am, writing from the lobby bar of the hotel on Christmas morning. Nothing really changed, and there is a plug for my laptop only at the far end of the lobby (at the actual bar).
The staff did not wish us Merry Christmas and watch dully. Nobody wants to work. Well, I think, it is Christmas, the best holiday ever. So I am having my coffee and thinking how the heck this hotel is a four star one.
