[trivago traveller, 04/10/2011] We have been visiting this hotel a few times ,but recently we been treated very rudly by the reception staff. We booked a room, got confirmation from the hotel and when we arrived they pretended that they know nothing about it. The room we reserved, was NO SMOKING but, it was filthy, Ash all over the carpet and the room smelled only smoke. The bath was not cleaned by the hotel staff and you dare not complain at the duty manager. The porters at the front door is chasing you to, only use their service, if you say NO they then get agressive. Never stay there again!

[daylelisahall, 05/01/2008] I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Bangkok. The location of this hotel is exceptional and we found it really useful discovering Bangkok from here. I thought that the décor of the room could have been better but it was clean and we couldnt really complain, I just felt it would have looked more attractive if it had been modernised slightly. As I already mentioned, we ate in one of the restaurants and also had snacks and drinks at the coffee shop and we found that the prices were very reasonable.

Minniedada reports from his stay at the Asia hotel in October 2005. He liked the "nice" pool in the 12th floor and emphasizes the "cheap price" of the hotel. The hotel is "safe at night" with lots of security at the lobby. He was quite happy with the location, saying "it's easy to go to the town" with some shopping facilities nearby. Though check-out was "quick and easy", the staff "felt so cold" to him. In general, there are "not many" recreation facilities in the hotel, except for the pool. Frommer's emphasizes the "direct connection" of the hotel to a skytrain station (only one stop to Siam) making it in terms of location the winner over other hotels "in this category" - while the style is not a winner. The "busy" lobby feels "worn" out and all the hotel is in need of a "face-lift". The guest feels like "entering a cave". Still the location scores as it's near the "main shopping boulevard" of Bangkok and "not too far" from "historic attractions". The rooms are "like an American motel room" but "clean and well maintained". The hotel offers five restaurants for different tastes.
