[more]Kampung Daun - literally translated as 'Village Leaf' - is an outdoor restaurant and cultural centre, built around a natural stream and waterfall on the outskirts of Bandung. The first arrival area resembles a village square and as well as a reservations office also includes a cafe, gift shop and an area for performances of traditional music and dance. From here, a path takes the visitor along the stream, up steps, to eventually reach a large, open sided dining room where food is served. On the way there are dozens of small huts, each built around a table for four or six, which can be booked and where food can be served. The food is mostly traditional Indonesian, mostly Sundanese cuisine. At night. lanterns light the path and the huts, making a popular, romantic evening venue.
