The rice terraces cover over 10000 square kilometres of land and it covers 7 provinces in the Cordillera Region. UNESCO acknowledged Banaue Rice Terraces as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Before the New Seven Wonders of the World, Banaue Rice Terraces was part of the Eight Wonders of the World. The place is known as one of the best constructed structures in the world. Until now Banaue is still one of the most visited sites in Mountain province.
