The author describes the Ballachulish House Hotel in Ballachulish as an "intimate, lovely, country-house hotel" which dates from 1640 and nestles in gardens near "the shore of Loch Linnhe, in the shadows of Glencoe". He continues the bedrooms are "Georgian-style" and have "luxurious Egyptian linens" some even feature "four-poster beds".Surrounding the Hotel he reports is a "pretty golf course" which has "fine greens and majestic mountain scenery".
