Baclaran Church is known for Our Mother of Perpetual Help Shrine, this is one of the oldest churches here, it is located at Parañaque City Metro Manila, Philippines. This is famous for people devoted to Mama Mary, and every Wednesday a novena is held in this church. Thousands of people gathered here with different intentions, in different walks of life, celebrities, politicians or just a local devotee. Some are quietly praying the rosary at the side, some are praying while walking on their knees and some are just lighting candles for guidance and blessing.
I am one of those devotees of the said church; Ive been there so many times. The sitting capacity is about 2000 but it can accommodate almost 5-10 thousand people. Inside the church theres a confession room, and at the altar theres a big Mother of Perpetual Help Shrine. There are a lot of television monitors that will help you if you dont have your novena book and also you can sing along with the choir with the help of these monitors. There are boxes around the church which you can drop your letters, like thank you letter, or any miraculous event that happened to you or to your family, and every Wednesday a letter will be read to inspire people.
Outside the vicinity of the church is a big market that sells inexpensive items, and mostly those items are religious replica of Sto. Niños, The Holy Family (Jesus, Mary and Joseph) and other saints. You dont have to worry about getting hungry because like I said outside of it is a big market that also sells food.
Baclaran Church is one great place to visit not just for spiritual purposes but a place to have peace of mind and reflection.
