[04/11/2007] Wong Yee Fong stayed in the Langham in Auckland and describes his stay in the August Issue of Business Traveller Asia Pacific. He was greeted by "well-groomed and gracious staff" with "confident smiles" while arriving at this hotel, which is "centrally located". In addition, so the author, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the main shopping streets.
He stayed in a Club Room which comes with a "luxurious king size bed" and a "plasma screen television". But in Mr. Wong's eyes the "biggest draw" of the Club Room is the "personalised service" including butler service and free pressing for three garments upon arriving at the hotel. He "enjoyed" the breakfast in the lounge, although he had "to remind repeatedly staff" to bring things. The club lounge is very "comfortable" and "serves espresso coffee, tea and snacks all day".
The hotel restaurant was as the author points out "awarded New Zealand Restaurant of the Year" while "The Winery" is a "great place to chill before dinner". There are additional restaurants in the hotel, as the author writes in his review. The Business Centre is a "small room" equipped with two terminals and a "delightfully fast" internet access.
There is also a "fully equipped gymnasium" with open-air pool.
He closes his report writing the hotel has an "excellent service" and "rolls luxury, comfort and business into one elegant bundle".
