[toombsey, 10.02.2008] This is an excellent hotel to use as a base in Atlanta. You can park you car in the car-park and forget about it as everything can be accessed either on foot, or by local transport. It is next to the Centennial Park with all its own attractions as well as being the centre of the action on July 4th (Independence Day).

It is also all suite so you get good size rooms with separate bedrooms for that added but of luxury at a reasonable price.

    Cleanliness
  • Because the hotel is an all-suite hotel, you get a living area with sofa, TV, desk and a separate bedroom with another TV and storage. There is a full bathroom and a kitchenette area with fridge, coffeemaker and microwave oven. The furnishing were nice and bright and we found the service to be good.

We had a view over Centennial Park and the city which was a bonus. I believe some rooms look toward the rear of the hotel which is not nearly as nice, so request a room overlooking the park.

    Lobby Atmosphere
  • Inside the hotel there is a large lobby with a reception desk. There is a large, ornate atrium to which all the rooms open out onto. This has lots of greenery, fountains and lots of seating so you can sit and relax as if you were in the jungle and not Georgia.

Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient.

There is a business centre, fitness room and pool but we did not use these do cannot comment.

  • Included in your room charge is a buffet breakfast. They have lots to choose from, including eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, fruit etc as well as drinks. Eat as much as you want. You can also order eggs as you want them i.e. fried, omlette etc. Cannot fault the breakfast at all. You will also get a newspaper on weekdays.

There is also a steak house onsite, but we did not use this so cannot comment of the food, but people we spoke to whilst there said it was very good.

    Transportation Connection
  • The location is ideal for visiting the city as it looks out onto Centennial Park and is within walking distance of all the major attractions and shopping. If you want to go further, you can catch underground trains, buses, etc. nearby.

Because it is close to the city nightlife is close by so if that is your thing you will find everything within staggering distance. However because it is across the park the actual hotel is very quiet, so the best of both worlds.
