[more]The history of this museum dates back to 1829. It is one of the few numismatic museums in the world. It houses a collection of over 600,000 ancient Greek coins, but in addition to this collection there are also weights, lead stamps, medals and precious stones as well as a library of over 10,000 books.
It is open daily (except Monday) from 8.30am until 3pm.
Admission charges are 3 euros for adults and 2 euros for children and concessions.
