Description: The neo classic building which houses the museum was completed in 1889 and it now houses a vast range of ancient sculpture, pottery and jewelry, a bronze collection and more. Exhibits include gold funerary masks, a collection of antique coins, vases, frescoes and a bronze statue of Poseidon (450 BC). A number of temporary exhibits and archaeological lectures are presented and there is a shop on site.
There are reduced rates for students from outside the E.U and E.U members aged 65 and older, free admission for certain other persons and days with free admission for all visitors. Details of these various rates and the opening hours are available at the website.
