Frommers Greece 5th edition: Everything that was tired is now spanking-new and fresh

Article
[Chris26, 26.03.2007] John Bowman points out that the Hilton Athens is already a quite old hotel, as it was opened in the early 1960s. However, after a recent renovation in 2001, the hotel looked "spanking-new" and "fresh" (at the time of the review, 2005). The "glitzy" lobby extends to coffee shops, restaurants and shops. The guest rooms come with views towards the Acropolis or the "hills outside Athens" and the "international Hilton" design, with some "Greek touches". The bathrooms are "large". The service level in the club rooms is "higher" than in the standard floors. There's a "large" outdoor pool, meeting rooms and a cash machine. Frommers rates the Hilton with its top rating, three out of three Frommers stars ("exceptional").
