[jl132, 22/03/2011] The restaurant of the Gulle Gans is located in the heart of the city of Assen and is really a great restaurant. Assen is a city that lies in the province of Drenthe in the Netherlands. It lies in the north and is near the city of Groningen. It doesn’t lay to far of the border of Germany but is still almost an hour away.
We went here because we were going out with friend to the theatre which is located on walking distance of the restaurant. We could park our car nearby and didn’t have to worry about that for the whole night because parking was free at the point. The restaurant is also close to

[jl132, 20/03/2011] The hotel has 133 deluxe rooms, most rooms have a private balcony or terrace. There are 4 spacious rooms and super deluxe rooms for disabled people. There are smoking and non-smoking rooms which can be advance with the reservation. There are 21 rooms available for events such as weddings, family reunions, meetings, etc. If you need equipment that are for rent such as a projector, sound system, white board, piano, etc. They have a restaurant and a bar / lounge. [jl132, 20/03/2011] The Drenths Museum is the main museum of the city of Assen. While Assen is not a large town the museum is still worth visiting. They have a permanent but also temporarily exhibitions. There is ample (paid) parking in the vicinity. On the Abel Tasman Square you can park for free. Furthermore, the museum is located about 5 minutes’ walk from the train station of Assen making it easily accessible by public transport.
It costs 6 euro to enter this museum for people over 16 years of age. For people between the age of 5 and 15 years it’s 3 euro’s and everybody younger than 5 it’s free to enter. Th
