[Fritzthecat, 01.11.2006] The Little Nell combines, as the writer Dan Laines describes, the "virtues of an intimate country inn" with the "personalised service" and the "amenities of a grand hotel". The hotel is located just an exact "17 paces" from the Sliver Queen Gondola.
Frommers have been impressed enough by the Little Nell to award it with two out of three of their desirable stars, which indicate that it is "very highly recommended".
Guests will find their rooms to be uniquely designed and it will come with its own fireplace, "Belgian-wool carpeting", an "oversized bed" and a seating area that offers either lounge chairs or sofa. The bathrooms are finished with marble and offer two vanities, "separate shower and tub" and toiletries by "Crabtree and Evelyn". In some suites they offer "Jacuzzi tubs and steam showers". All of the rooms "have a view", (depending on location) of either the town or the mountain.
In the hotels restaurant Montagna an "award winning chef", Paul Wade, serves "American Contemporary cuisine" to his guests. The author describes the restaurant as "artsy" with "large windows" that offer diners either views over Aspen Mountain or the courtyard. The Greenhouse Bar is described as "elegant", featuring "rich wood" design, a "sandstone fireplace" that opens to two sides, "historic photos of the Aspen ski scene" and a seated outdoor terrace. The atmosphere in the neighbouring Montagna Bar is rated as "more relaxed" by Mr Laine.
