[NormanFlower, 02/11/2010] Travelling in Argyll in Scotland we had heard that to dine well was difficult, but were given the details of this village inn on the Isle of Bute. It is run by three generations of Russians who are more interested in the food that in treating tourists as bankroll fodder! At Lunchtime we had the Borscht and the Crayfish. The Borscht was a 12cm bowl of vegetable stew of potato, leek, celery, tomato, and the beetroot of course. It was spiced with warming paprika and obviously prepared with red wine.
