[jipp05, 21/02/2011] Because Argostoli the capital of kefania was so close to our resort we ended up visiting thee a few times during our stay. We usually walked there and back instead of taking the bus as it was only about a 30 minute walk and the scenery was so nice it was an enjoyable walk even in the hot sun.
Argostoli is a little different to the rest of the towns in Kefalonia as it was almost completely detroyed in an earthquake in 1953 and had to be almost entirely rebuilt. It nw resembles a lovely modern looking medeteranian town that has managed to keep some of it's Greek charm.
Argastoli is the place
