Another point of interest is the rock that the Greek flag was placed on. Those interested in the history should also visit the Church of Taxiarches and Limeni Port.
Areopolis has retained its charm and history whilst becoming the commercial centre of Mani. There are many restaurants, taverns and shops that provide local entertainment and produce. As soon as you enter Areopolis you turn left from the main road coming from Githio or Kalamata (you will see petrol station silk to the right)and then 50 m after turn to the left again to enter to a small road where there is a small sign(Sotiras or parking DHMOS OITYLOY) and after 200 m you reach the hotel.Surrounded by enchanting landscape, this charming building lies in the historic town of Areopolis, featuring very comfortable beds with anatomic mattresses, along with complimentary buffet breakfast and wireless internet.
