[more]La Casona is the main building and where once we were charged the "Turnpike" tax that was paid for goods passing the Kingdom of Aragon Kingdom of Castile.
The building has three floors and six rooms. On the ground floor is situated the lobby, reception, dining room, kitchenette and one suite. On the first floor are four double bedrooms. Outside, walking a hallway filled with lush vegetation, is the best suite with a separate porch and privacy. The upper floor of our hotel rural romantic room has a large conservatory overlooking the entire town of Somaen a bar built for the use and enjoyment of guests.
A few meters away from the mansion is Somaen Castle, of Arab origin and dating back to 1,100, listed National Monument.
This border castle housed a small garrison of 8 to 10 men who controlled the passage of the gorge between the Kingdom of Aragon and the Kingdom of Castile.
The building was completely rehabilitated. It has three bedrooms in the tower and a suite in the garden where you can enjoy more privacy and better views.
In addition, Castle has three rooms available for hotel guests, one being the billiard room.
All rooms are equipped with fireplace, minibar, safe, piped music, plasma TV, on light sensor-presence, computer terminal, telephone, heating, air-conditioned floors and plasma TV with satellite the main hall
The hotel has also a restaurant with an excellent menu based on local produce, outdoor pool, billiard room, lounges and proposed routes to enjoy the nature of the area
